Canyon View Church is led by a Governing Board consisting of the Lead Pastor and a board of Elders.
Scott was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After moving often with Chevron and Exxon (Italy, Singapore and Korea) and a couple of times as a traveling spouse (London & Toronto), Scott and his wife, Lois, moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 2009 and began attending Canyon View Church. Scott has a heart for, and had been active with missions and youth. Scott was elected by church members in January, 2016 to serve on the Elder Board.
Paul was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and grew up in a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Dore Lake, Minnesota. At the age of nine his family moved to Missoula and his parents helped start the Missoula Alliance Church. He graduated from the U of M and taught school for 35 years in Arlee, MT. He served as an elder for many years in the Arlee Alliance Church. A few years after he retired they moved to the Bitterroot and started attending Canyon View Church in 2016. A highlight of his life was spending a year teaching in a missions school in Irian Jaya, Indonesia. He enjoys spending time with his wife Joy and their two adult children and 3 grandchildren. His pastimes include running road races, hunting, doing yard work, and taking the dog for walks.
Don was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He spent 9 years active duty in the Army and then 24 years in federal law enforcement. Don and his wife, Laura, have been married for over 48 years. They have two married children and four grandchildren. They moved to the Bitterroot Valley after retiring in 2002. Don’s favorite pastimes include visiting their children and grandchildren, fishing, hunting and hiking. Don and Laura joined Canyon View Church in 2002. Don served as an Elder from 2003 to 2013 and was elected back to the Board in 2017.
